Map and Directions to Badrallach, North West Scotland
Badrallach ...a remote place
By Road

Take the A9 north from Inverness onto the A835 to Ullapool. Approx. 10 miles from Ullapool at Braemore Junction turn left onto the A832 for 10 miles (a circular road linking Dundonnell, Gairloch and back to Garve) then turn right onto the single track Badrallach road for 7 miles - journey time is around 1.5 hours from Inverness.

By Bus & Ferry

The Westerbus (01445 712255) Gairloch-Inverness-Gairloch passes the road end (7 miles) on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays at around 0850 - there is no bus stop sign, so please flag the bus down by hand. Foot ferries run Scoraig-Badluarach on request. Inverness and the Braemore junction are served daily by Citylink and Rapsons coaches to and from the Ullapool-Stornaway ferry. Booking is essential for pickup at Braemore and strongly advised for the buses connecting to the ferry to avoid disappointemnt or a long wait for the next bus!

By Rail

Garve is our nearest station on the beautiful Inverness - Kyle of Lochalsh line about 30 miles away.

By Air

Many international airlines stop at Inverness's compact airport, including KLM who link directly to Amsterdam.

Car & campervan hire

Vehicle hire is becoming ever more popular in the Highlands due to the NC500 route. We recommend veering away from the giant, gas-guzzling motorhomes that often noe cram the small roads and suggest you opt for hiring a smaller van or car instead!
